Jeff graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1989.   He graduated from Boston University School of Law in May 1995.  He was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1995 and to the Texas State Bar in February 2015.  He is admitted to the Southern, Northern, Central, and Eastern District districts of the United States District Courts.  He is also admitted to the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.  He is also a licensed real estate broker by the State of California.

During his 20+ years of litigation and lawyering experience, Jeff has worked at large and small firms and has been a solo practitioner. This varied experience has given him a comprehensive breadth of knowledge in commercial, business and real estate transactions. Additionally, he has experience in bankruptcy, construction and employment law.

Jeff is an experienced trial attorney having tried numerous cases in state and federal courts. He also litigated and settled scores of cases. He has also handled dozens of arbitrations and mediations. Jeff understands that some adversaries are so intransigent that only a judge and jury can resolve the case. On the other hand he is very much aware of the financial stress and uncertainty litigation can cause clients. He is a skilled tactician at supporting settlement from a position of strength.

Jeff takes particular pride in his pre-litigation counseling. The goal is always to reduce risk and uncertainty in a state where risk and uncertainty is the norm.  He carefully reviews client practices and scrupulously advises on legal compliance.

In his off duty Jeff enjoys chess, fitness training and coaching softball and baseball.  He is married and has four kids who consume most of his spare time.
