Michael Yen has been practing immigration law since 1993. Mr. Yen obtained his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a member of the State Bar of New York. Mr. Yen currently divides his time between Taiwan and the United States where he devotes his time strictly to immigration matters. Although Mr. Yen's practice encompasses all facets of immigration law, he is especially experienced in work visas such as E-1, E-2, L-1, H-1B, etc. The E-1 visa allows a national of treaty country to be admitted to the United States solely to engage in international trade. An E-2 visa allows nationals from a treaty country to be admitted to the United States when investing a substantial amount of capital in a U.S. business. An L-1A visa enables a U.S. employer to transfer an executive or manager from one of its affilated foregin offices to one of its offices in the United States. H-1B visa applies to people who wish to perform services in a speciality occupation, services of exceptional merit and ability.
Mr. Yen asists his clients to obtain family and work based green cards internationally, mainly Canada, China and Taiwan. Due to Mr. Yen's professionalism and success, several high tech companies and public companies from Taiwan and Guam go to Mr. Yen for all of their immigration needs.
