Ardent Law Group attorneys Hubert Kuo and Lynne Ciani have obtained a victory at the pleading stage for their client, Central Escrow, in a case filed by EB-5 investors in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
The court sustained Ardent’s demurrer without leave to amend. A demurrer challenges whether a complaint states a legally valid claim, and sustaining it without leave to amend means the plaintiffs will not be permitted to file an amended complaint.
